Marvel's Spider-Man is an action-adventure game published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4, based on the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man and developed by Insomniac Games.
Released on September 7, 2018, it is the very first game manufactured by Insomniac. The game covers Peter Parker and facets of the character, and tells a story about Spider-Man that isn't tied to an existing book, video game, or movie.
Spider-Man was received upon launch. Critics called it one of the best superhero games praising mechanics the battle and its gameplay, graphics, storyline, characterization, and design of new york, though felt it lacked invention in its open-world design. The match became a commercial success, promoting 3.3 million copies in its first 3 days of release, and bankrupt several sales records.
Spider-Man includes a large ensemble cast of characters in the background of Spider-Man comics. Implementing a secret identification, Parker uses these abilities to look after the taxpayers of New York City as the superhero Spider-Man. Eight years in his superhero career, Parker has become an skilled and masterful crime fighter, but struggles to balance lives and his superhero. He is assisted in his struggle by intrepid Daily Bugle reporter Mary Jane Watson (Laura Bailey), his ex-girlfriend, also NYPD Captain Yuri Watanabe (Tara Platt). Parker is used by his mentor and friend, the respected scientist Dr. Otto Octavius (William Salyers). Spider-Man's experience brings him into contact with other personalities, such as Miles Morales (Nadji Jeter) and his parents, NYPD Officer Jefferson Davis (Russell Richardson) and Rio Morales (Jacqueline Pinol), OsCorp CEO along with New York mayor Norman Osborn (Mark Rolston), along with Silver Sablinova (Nichole Elise), chief of the private military firm Sable International.
The mission to guard the city of spider-Man brings him into conflict with various supervillains. Fisk is sent to prison, but cautions that he had been the sole person. Fisk's absence gives rise to some supernaturally powered, demonic-mask sporting gang called the Demons who start carving up town for the powerful Mr. Negative, who will corrupt individuals through his touch. A lot of other characters--including Parker's and Watson's childhood friend Harry Osborn (Scott Porter), who's disappeared on a long European vacation, and anti-Spider-Man podcast bunch J. Jonah Jameson (Darin p Paul) have voice characters in the major game. The game includes several references such as the Wakandan Embassy, Avengers Tower, the Sanctum Sanctorum, Murdock & Nelson Attorneys at Law, Rand Corporation, and Alias Investigations.  Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee cameos as a cook. The match's downloadable content features appearances by master-thief Black Cat (Erica Lindbeck) (who has a voice-only role in the primary game), and Hammerhead (Keith Silverstein), leader of the Maggia crime family.
